Why we decided to create Ponylab
Working after the institute in 2017 as a hardware developer, I clearly understood that I do not want to spend my whole life solving applied technical problems and working on pieces of systems that’s not the kind of things you cant do without.
We wanted to create something unique, solve severe problems, and improve people’s quality of life.
I was looking to apply my skills, and I learned about city farming.
The more I went into the subject, the more determined it was to create an automated mini-greenhouse with useful and tasty vegetables all year round.
So I decided that I needed to build equipment that allowed non-specialists to have their own automatic garden at home. So I started doing it after my day job. Dozens of iterations of the prototyping of iron modules were passed before the stable operation of the modules was achieved.
After the first plants were grown and interacted with real city farmers and agronomists, the system was processed, new features were added, and everything was tested on its own hydroponic farms on greens, tomatoes, and strawberries
We don’t want to make the world a better place. We want to make crop cultivation -
faster, more convenient, and more efficient
